Sean Rowell tethers to a disabled skiier

I don’t know exactly what happened, but it appears that I overshot the landing on my second jump and was immediately knocked unconscious.  The doctors later told me that if I had not been wearing a helmet, I would have died...

Information & Resources

support"I used to run my own business, but since my brain injury I cannot keep up with the responsibilities... My son was involved in a car accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury, and now he seems to be isolating himself and seems depressed."

Each brain injury comes with a unique set of challenges for the survivors, family members and caregivers. Where do you go for help with these and the thousands of other questions that a brain injury can bring?

The Information and Resources (I&R) Department was created to provide support, information, resources and informal counseling to survivors, family members and caregivers. I&R staff members can provide a list of professional services, general information regarding the effects of brain injury and guide you towards resources to aid in recovery.

We also offer the PALS program to provide recreational and socialization opportunities for brain injury survivors.

Because each situation is different, the I&R coordinator that answers your call will ask a few questions in order to ascertain what suggestions will be most appropriate for your individual circumstance. Please be assured that any information will be held in confidance.

BIA-MA's Information and Resources Coordinators can provide help in a variety of areas, including:

- Adult Day Health Centers

- Attorneys

- Case Managers
